Ontario Black Poplar
This piece came from a nugget off a Black Poplar burl. The Black Poplar that I currently have was salvaged off a fallen tree in Ontario 30+ years ago.
Black Poplar Fruit Bowl
This Black Poplar fruit bowl measures 14" across and is 4" high. It was harvested from a tree 30+ years ago. It has natural holes and bark throughout. Amazingly, this is how the tree bark grows. I would say this has to do with the harsh climates of the north east.
Black Poplar Live Edge
This live edge Black Poplar bowl measures 14” across and at the highest point it is 4" tall. My plan is to have a crystal bowl made specifically for it to be a salad or fruit bowl.
Ontario Black Poplar
This Black Poplar bowl was made to fit a crystal dish. It has very unique lines and was salvaged over 30+ years ago.
Ontario Black Poplar
This Black Poplar bowl was made with the live edge still included in the bowl. It has natural inclusions as the bark was at one point there to fill them. This bowl will be getting a crystal dish custom made to put in it.
No tree was harmed in the making this art. These pieces have all been reclaimed from the forest.
